How can content on the climate crisis, production processes and associated climate impacts be excitingly packaged in educational contexts? Which ‘dead-killing arguments’ can education officers counter? How does the balancing act manage, on the one hand, to generate emotions and, at the same time, to avoid feelings of powerlessness? We discussed these and similar questions during the one-day training for the educational workshops in the project Klima & Klamotten.

Bonn/Cologne. Under the title ‘Klima & Klamotten’, LizzyNet gGmbH and FEMNET e.V. are launching a nationwide cross-media and education project. The project encourages young people to engage in climate-friendly alternatives to fast fashion. The three-year measure is funded within the framework of the National Climate Initiative (NKI) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment.
Spring 2021 will also remain digital, both in educational work at schools and universities and in the further training of speakers.
Human rights and environmental education remains relevant even in times of coronavirus. We want to support schools in integrating the topics into their educational work – even if we cannot be present on the ground at the moment.
